Site Design Process
Your web site is your window to the online world. It is a reflection of you and your business. Today more and more people not only have access to the Internet, but integrate Internet use into their daily lives, whether it be to find information, order products, or to communicate with others.
Typical Sites
A typical web site might be 4-10 pages though more involved sites can easily be many more pages in size. By way of comparison, this site is approximately 25+ pages in size. Generally a site will start off with the following types of pages:
Who is your target audience?
It is important to consider the visitors to your site. Who is the audience you want to attract? What information do you want them to find quickly? Online visitors tend to scan through a site to find the information they want quickly. Does the information stand out? Is your site easy to navigate around? Is the site visually appealing?
Planning Your Site - The Process
When working with you to plan your site, we will look at your target audience, the theme or flavor you want your site to project, the color scheme, and what kinds of information will be found on the site. All of these factors will direct the design process.
It is your responsibility to let us know the actual content you would like on your site. Text copy can be sent via email or sent on a CD in a Word document or saved as an RTF document. Images such as graphics, logos, or photos can be emailed, size permitting, or sent via CD.
After an initial planning consultation (either face-to-face, by phone, or via email), we will develop a draft version for your review. During the development phase, your site will be posted online in our client test area. This is a password protected area and you will need the user name and password that we provide to you.
Any necessary revisions are then made, and after a final review, the site is ready to be posted online. Your site will need a place to live on the Internet so that visitors can find it. It must be hosted somewhere. Sajoba LLC offers web hosting and maintenance packages for our clients.
After your site is live to the world, we will submit it to the major search engines.
